Founded in 2021 by Rebecca Dijkstra, better known as “Backy” with the mission to inspire and support both novice and experienced plant lovers to discover the joy and wonder of plant care and propagation.
With a deep love for plants and a passion for cuttings, I decided to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with the world. What started as a personal adventure has grown into a thriving business that wants to share the beauty of plants with others.
About Backy
My green adventure started unexpectedly in 2019 during the preparations for our wedding in 2020. My husband and I wanted to give a unique and personal “thank you” to our wedding guests and decided to take cuttings of the Spider plant, grow them into beautiful little plants and give them as a gift.
This simple, loving gesture led to a deep passion for growing and caring for plants. Since then, I have further developed my knowledge and love for plants and decided to share this with the world through Backy’s Plants.
